For sale here is an 8'5" 2/2 8wt bamboo rod made by R.K. Bolt. Near mint condition, I see no obvious signs of use. This is one of Robert's earlier steelhead rods, made prior to his purchase of the Howells shop (serial #11/98). Medium flamed cane with 3x3 nodes. Dark guides wrapped in transparent honey-colored wraps with dark accents. All sections are straight and full length. Ferrules fit perfectly and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. 6.5" cork grip is clean and smooth and has some cork filler throughout (clearly delivered this way). Up-locking aluminum reel seat with the maker's stamp on the collar. Weight is 5.01oz. A responsive 8wt with medium fast action. It feels like it will be comfortable at a variety of distances. A superb example of Mr. Bolt's early work, sold in the original bag and tube with data label affixed.
